We've managed to wrench an interview from slope luminary Andy Ellison. Some of you know him as slopetrashuk, but we know him as a slope mensch who loves hi-energy, hi-performance slope soaring and will go to almost any lengths to experience it. Read the entire interview here!

 Sean, Terry, JART

Sometimes, even the toughest dudes show their tender side. Here's a touching story about Sean giving up the love for his buddy Terry (and any time there's love on the slope you know there's a JART in there somewhere):

Quote from Sean:
"Lemme start out w/a little back story. I met THend (Terry) a good 6 or so years ago flying RC Combat. He was one of the top dogs at the time and I was a noob. Him and a bunch of his crew showed up at our field for a combat event and they owned us that day. I got to talking with him and we hit it off pretty good. I started attending all the combat events that were in SoCal and kept getting better and better as time went on. Anyway, long story short Terry welcomed me into the flock as one of his own and we've got countless miles under our belts travelling to contests together and more stories than a sailor. Trying to show a guy how much you appreciate his friendship is a tough one. So here's what I came up with.

Build the guy a plane. Not just any old plane but something that isn't easily aquired. What plane is that? A composite JART of course!!!"

Terry replies:
"Well, honestly, I am still pretty darn floored over it all. IRJ managed to get me speechless, and that don't happen often!

We ARE polar opposites, which made us very successful through the years flying glow rc combat. Funny too, because we don't like to fly each others planes unless it is necessary! We'd be flying the exact same design, yet I didn't like to fly his ship as it would be too twitchy for me, and he didn't like to fly mine as it was lethargic for his style. But, we'd both end up at the top most of the time.

Style comparison (by Terry):
Terry Sean
Use a micrometer to size a drill bit Burn a hole with a soldering iron
Use scroll saw to cut slot Burn a slot with a soldering iron
Try to decide how to mount a servo Build 3 planes while watching me
In tears laughing, something he said In tears laughing, something he said
Complete freak as a passenger WHAT!? Whatever. Go back to sleep.
Hmmm, let me think about this Build 3 more planes...
Type A stresser Gimme a soldering iron, build 3 planes
Porta Potti is last resort, thanks Sean Kaasploosh, the blue lagoon strikes
I drill a hole in my finger, cussing Oh man, hey can I have a zip tie?
Let me look at these polars Dude, 5% is too thick
What are the conditions like? Already flying!

Thanks man, and I'd like to thank those who had a part in building the JART as well. I certainly look forward to meeting everyone, and pulling into formation with everyone at Fermin.

The JART is priority number one, and will be ready real soon."

Great story. Certainly fits perfectly with the World According to JART. Share the love, brothers.
