JART Ripoff on eBay, pt. 2
Turns out the same pathetic character who stole my design, used pictures from my site without permission, and used LEG pictures without permission has also stolen the PSS designs of a fellow Frenchman named Pym. Pym's philosophy is similar to ours: he creates plans and gives them away so that others can build their own planes. But he does not allow people to market planes that are built from his plans. Somehow, the weak and perhaps criminal mind of this Pascal creature allows him to steal these plans and use them to create a line of PSS planes to sell. I've asked him why he's incapable of designing his own planes and I get nothing but misdirection and excuses. It's like talking to a poorly raised teenager in French!
So we are still pursuing this matter with some diligence. eBay in France have been contacted and once we pull more of the evidence together I'll take the other necessary (albeit irritating) steps to help Pym, LEG, and JART maintain our interests. Even the legendary Pierre Rondel (of Planet Soaring fame) has lent his support to our efforts.
At the very least, we know we are honest and sincere and we are on the good side of this battle. If I had done what this Pascal fellow is doing, I wouldn't be able to look at myself in the mirror without cringing in disgust.

JART Ripoff on eBay
Well, it's finally happened. Someone got greedy and decided they'd try to sell JART kits without my permission. In this case, a fellow from France requested plans from me a couple of months ago and now I find that he's marketing a plane called "UZACK" on eBay that is an exact ripoff. He's even used a picture of a JART to sell it (he's admitted using the picture). The human mind is so easily swayed by avarice and laziness, isn't it?
He also bought a PSS kit from Jack at LEG recently and is now marketing a line of EPP PSS planes, using pictures from Point Fermin, Cajon Summit and other places in Southern California. If these were his own designs, why wouldn't he take pictures of his own planes on his own slopes? The answer is that, either through nature or nurture, this guy is twisted and ugly inside. Slope planes are not hard to design, why would someone be so stupid as to ripoff someone else's work. There isn't even much money in it, so why not get out a pen and paper and spend an evening creating your own model?
In any case, my lawyer is blasting away and I've contacted eBay and PayPal about this. Sad, isn't it: all this effort and stress when a little bit of honest work would have yielded such clean, happy results?
If anyone out there is tempted to do something similar to this poor fellow, please contact me first. I'd much rather spend a couple of hours helping you to design your own cool sloper than sue you for copying mine. Once you've got your own gorgeous creation you can sell as many as you care to and all you'll ever get is money and credit, instead of grief and legal problems.
